Extreme, this thread was not created for any kind of wind debate, so enough already. Show some respect!!

Yeah... if a storm is personally devastating, nothing else matters. NOTHING.

By the way, Lindaloo, I like what you say about that "we WILL be back!". It's very encouraging!

This thread literally made me cry..............

I am apalled at some of the ignorance shown here. I lost every single thing I owned in IVAN and will never look at a hurricane the same again. It took 14 months for me to get back in my house. There are STILL homes here that have not been touched in 18 months b/c of insurance and government problems. THIS PLACE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. Kelley, my heart bleeds for those still suffering and what we are STILL going through here is just eye opening to me that this type of disaster does not end, we still feel the affects every single day and while I would NEVER wish this type of tragedy on anyone, it won't be until YOU lose everything you have worked your whole life for that you could even begin to comprehend. So, if you do not have the expereince yourself then I suggest you keep your mouth shut and pray that you do not have to go through the same kind of pain I have had to live and so many others have had to live. Ignorance is the root of this country's problems and I am officially ashamed to be associated with those of you who have been just downright stupid in this thread. (You know who you are) Kelley, I commend you for the acknowledgement you tried to give here and I am sorry that this type of thinking even exists on S2K. We can and will change that.

Is that really called for? Why not leave it at "hurricanes are bad"?

? i think you may be reading too far into my statement.

A Catagoty 1 hurricane is bad... A Catagory 5 hurricane is worse.
They are all bad.... that's all i was saying...
no harm meant...

No Jax, I think I read your statement just right. I've been sitting back reading for quite a while and not saying anything because most of what I have read just gets my blood pressure up.

People should think BEFORE YOU POST.

Your reputation here plays a role in people's perception. Completely understandable IMO.

And thanks Sandi...my heart still goes out to you! And don't worry, we'll be nipping this problem in the bud soon. ;)

Just by observing the last couple of pages, I don't think EWG said anything wrong or tried to downplay Rita in anyway. Not sure what all the fuss is about. Both storms were bad...

It is not up to you to observe nor make decisions. Point is, this thread was created for a totally different theme and it was turned upside down.

I don't think there was a fuss about EWG anyway. I think it's been centered around jax.
