boca_chris, I think the Yucatan Peninsula and Mexico may see several hits, while Texas gets one hit.

I'm thinking the same thing. What's trippy is that my name is on there.  If it goes as far as the DFW area, it's gonna be Michael vs. Michael.

When in doubt, go with the "I" name:
2001: Category 4 Hurricane Iris blasts Belize.
2002: High-Category 3 Hurricane Isidore slams the Yucatan.
2003: Isabel peaks at Category 5, landfalls as a strong-Category 2 hurricane in the Outer Banks, Maryland, and Virginia, becoming one of the worst hurricanes in Mid-Atlantic history.
2004: Ivan. Enough said.
2005's "I" storm wasn't that bad, Irene fed all her bad vibes to Katrina.

With that said, my 2006 watch list is as follows:
-Chris
-Gordon
-Issac
-Kirk
-Michael
-Tony (yeah, I was a homer on this one)
-Valerie.

Last year was Girl Power; this year is Manpower.

Note: This list should be taken with a grain of salt. The only two bad storms I had on my list last year were Dennis and Rita (if we got to it). Note the absence of Katrina (thought it would be a weak storm) and Wilma (come on, who thought the name of a famous cartoon character, let alone a "W" name, would do what Wiiiiiiiiiiiiillllllmaaaaaa did?).

Nadine will be the "big one" this year. I am going to say she reaches a max low pressure of 890mb and has winds to 180mph. At landfall (somewhere in the Gulf), her winds will still top 131mph and her pressure will be under 930mb. The biggest threat areas for Nadine are Texas and Florida.

I dont think anyone wants a CAT 4+ hurricane near their area unless theyre insane...Ive never been in anything more from a tropical system than 40 mph winds and id like it to stay that way...No hurricanes for me, please

I nailed Dennis right on the head last year at this time, just by the name...also, I knew that cinday and franklin would be strong tropical storms to weak hurricanes
