Why do they keep calling Frances a major hurricane? It wasn't. It was very destructive, but it wasn't technically a major "hit" at landfall. It was a Category Two at landfall. It's annoying to hear the media refer to Frances as a major hurricane "hit" or impact when it wasn't one at landfall. Also, Frances hit east-central Florida, not southeast Florida (which is Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade). Indian River, St. Lucie, and Martin counties got the worst of Frances, NOT Palm Beach and Broward counties.
