Any Warm Weather on the Horizon? March is almost here!

#1 Postby Sean in New Orleans » Wed Feb 22, 2006 12:02 am

Anybody see any sights of that first 75For 80F for parts of the South? I've seen it happen in early to mid March and wouldn't mind it this year. New Orleans could use some green and blooms. We've had a depressing and dark Winter after Hurricane Katrina. It zapped everything from this place (including natural beauty), and I'm ready to see it return!

Spring is just around the corner for us here in the Deep South.

Yes... and I'm ready. I'm sick of this cold to hot junk and next to nothing in the winter weather department.

Bring on the severe weather(this evening was a good tease with 3 tornado warnings from 1 freak storm).

It sounds crazy but there's usually one more cold snap shortly before easter. A local dj always comments on it and it really does happen!

Yes, it got up to 82* here yesterday. Felt great! And it is 70* here this morning. Time to get out in the garden and plant some tomatoes. :D

We hit 78 yesterday, and it definately felt like spring. The trees around here are still fairly dormant but I'd expect within the next week that things really get going. I'll definately know because my allergies will take a sharp turn for the worse!

Looks like it will get cool in the south again. The next 6 days in Houston are all forecast to have highs below 70F and lows will probably only range from 35-45F. It will be feeling more like late February instead of late March.

Came home to 80 degrees at 4 o'clock today. Will be at 80 or above for the next few days.

If ever you wanted to visit the desert, the period of time from March 15th through the end of April is your best window. October 15th until Thanksgiving is second choice.

Beautiful here. Flowers are blooming after the rains of the last couple weekends, and the sun feels great on your face!

Spring is here (and we're still a way off from our first 100+ day!)
