number 2 in the eye?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

(i wanna see it) as for the number two in her eye...isnt it a little ironic that the news station is called NBC2? why is that the only photo of it? also...why havent I heard about other local news stations having similar sightings on their dopplar radars? for some reason, to me anyways, 2+2 isnt = to 4 with this photo...i think there maybe more behind the image...otherwise nice photo...

its legit, it appears on another radar source too

OK--

Just so we're all clear (and anyone, please, feel free to correct me if I am wrong).

Hurricanes have ONE eye/center of circulation (I know--developing Tropical cyclones can have several surface lows/centers trying to spin up, but I'm talking a hurricane). They do NOT have two.

As was pointed out earlier in the thread, that second "eye" is just an opening in the system. And I'm no professional met, but my guess is also that it's consistent with dry air entrainment.

Sorry, I had to get that off my chest. NASA/NOAA shouldn't be labeling things like that (if it was NASA/NOAA who labelled it. It might not be). People who don't frequent boards like this might be confused.
