Check this out this incredible animation of hurricane isabel!its a movie made from occasional bursts of 8 images at one-minute intervals. Notice the mesocale swirls in the eye, particularly the 5-armed "starfish" cloud formation at the beginning of the sequence.http://goes.gsfc.nasa.gov/pub/goes/QTmovies/030912.isabel.mov :eek: :eek: :eek:

Isabel's shape near peak force always reminded my of a big 'ol donut, or maybe a toilet bowl :lol: It had one enormous eye :eek:

Even after weakening she was still wicked when she made landfall

wide windfield too

I got 55mph winds 450 Miles from the eye
