#1 Postby AndrewSmith2500 » Mon Feb 20, 2006 8:13 pm

Do you know that I heard that there will be a backup list of names for 2011:

I like all names for people, what do you think of this list?

Aiden
Beth
Cameron
Deborah
Ed
Felicia
Grant
Holly
Ira
Jessica
Ken
Lauren
Maurice
Noelle
Owen
Paris
Randy
Sarah
Toby
Victoria
Warren

What do you think of this list?

What do you think of these other names?

Jenna
Julie
Leah
Lucy
Mark
Nancy
Robert
Roderick
Roger
Ronald
Shannon
Sheila
Stephanie
Susan
Suzie

What do you think of these other names?

Whoever wants to make their own list can choose any name they like?

Thanks

Andrew Smith

Any person also can have fun making their own list of names

I'd rather stay with the Greek Alphabet, until a storm has to be retired, then go ahead and replace it with a name

I started in 1996 (6 years old) I was kinda of n00b until Isabel

the storm I've been most stuck on when it happened was Floyd but Katrina comes real close

I stared at the TV like a brain-dead loser during floyd, then when it came, it was the coolest day of my life

Kathleen is a no-no name because it's nasty EPAC name like Katirna was a bad storm in EPAC.

Split here ... the greek alphabet was good b/c the rarity of seeing more than 21 storms (or having used all the names in a given year's list) ... BUT it brings a dilemma as well ... b/c of Hurricane Beta, which struck as a major (CAT 3) in Central America and was particularly devastating to portions of that region, and very well could have qualified for a name retirement if requested by the governments of those nations ...

If I understand things... the backup list will be used anytime the season goes over 21 storms.. including 2006 onward. I think it is for both the EPac and Atlc
