Significant Snowstorm Possible sunday-monday

#1 Postby WaitingForSiren » Fri Mar 10, 2006 10:14 am

GFS really cranks this coming storm up and produces a band of heavy snow across the upper midwest from nebraska to wisconsin. What do other people think about this storm? Also, the NAM really isnt getting the picture, it just shows a positively tilted weak storm dingling around the south.

Not too worried about getting snowed in here. It's 70F, sunny--no clouds in the sky, the flowers and trees are in bloom and it's' Spring. I'm in a tank top and shorts as I type. :D

Hope you get a massive dump of snow your way out of that upcoming system. 8-)

Looks like in my area we'll be on snow-hold until next winter.

Southern Ontario is gonna be on the "warm" side of this storm so it means we will get its rain this time around...and not the white stuff.
With the mild weather last few days, Toronto and many other Southern Ontario cities are fairly devoid of any snow cover now.

TWC has snow showers for our area, on Tuesday.

Could this be the 2006 Snow Day we've all wanted - I can only hope. But not expect it.

Well, I don't know about Sunday/Monday, but we have gotten about 2-3 inches here in the last since midnight when I went to bed - and there is a chance of thunder - I have never experienced thundersnow, I cracked a couple of windows a inch or so just in case

WOW! This storm really cranked up! I got around a foot at my house. With all this blowing and drifting snow as well, this is quite possibly our biggest snowstorm since 1999 or maybe even earlier given the strong winds (that storm was mainly just heavy snow, no wind).
