No change from the Febuary outlook from the folks of Climate Prediction Center. What is a definite thing is that no El Nino during hurricane season 2006 will be around which means another active season ahead for us.The only question is how active it will be.

Interesting news Cycloneye. Looks like the chances are good we will be dealing with La-Nina at least through the first part of Hurricane season and likely into the most active part of it.

This is the only place I can actually say I enjoy an active season. It keeps my eyes open - and honestly, think of how many more people are aware of hurricanes and the damage they can cause after Katrina, Wilma, etc. last year.

I agree on the La Nina; however, I think they will still be weak La Nina conditions.

La Nina tends to favor Cape Verde storms, and other disturbances that form in the deep tropics, as opposed to home brew. We shall see how the season pans out though. Should be an interesting one, that much is for sure.

Yeah but after the last two seasons...I would say that all the rules are broken. Mother nature will do wha tever she wants to.
