I'm curious to know the official snowfall totals with the March 1993 superstorm.
How much snow did Atlanta and Birmingham receive? And how much snow did the Northeast get?

13" in Birmingham at the NWS. 12" at the airport(Up to 17 inches on the southside).
Atlanta got about half that if I remember correctly due to the storm track.

We had right at 12 inches, with 4 foot drifts in some places (NW suburban Atlanta location).
What a GREAT storm....some of my best snow memories of all.

I don't know about that, Brent. Atlanta got smacked around pretty good as I recall (at least on the Northern side). I lived in the NW suburbs of Atlanta and had right at a foot, with 4 foot drifts in some places.

We got 10 inches each of the two days it effected us. 20 Inches total, and a lot of ice pellets and some freezing rain (about a tenth to a quarter of an inch worth) mixed in on the second day. The snow was also really wet and packy/heavy, especially on the second day. The temperatures really took a nose drive behind this system (about 30 degrees F), and the winds picked up to maximum gusts of 60 mph, making for an icy mess. A very nasty event.
