My gut leans more towards southeast Florida, Texas, or the Caribbean/Yucatan for the storm to strike.

I say not this year... I think Katrina was "doomsday" enough for a few years.. yes there could be Cat 5's galore but they've got to hit a certain area to be truly doomsday... there are only a few spots in the Atl/Gulf that could turn out worse than Katrina... plus people are bound to listen if there is another like her and leave!

Nope, not this year.

The so-called doomsday storm will not strike the United States until the year 2018, probably on Friday, August 10th, with landfall officially taking place around 0500Z.

It seems like each season has been getting worse and worse...so if there is any trend, then YES this season could feature a doomsday scenario.
