No... I personally counted. There are only 35 blue roofs. The rest are actually green and, therefore, do not count.

If the letters "FEMA" are laid across the blue roof, are there any extra points?

i cant wait, i love tracking hurricanes. But the devastation that comes with it is tramendous. Mother nature is a beauty when its not hurricane season. But she can get very mean.

So, are you really saying there is a street in St. Petersburg with 98 (or 97, whatever) houses that have blue roofs on them, or am I missing something???? I ain't as quick as I once was....

It just came to me after reading CapeVerdeWave's post for some reason and I jotted it down on page 3. I made it up in like 5 seconds. lol
Some of the blue roofs have been getting replaced around here, so it kinda made sense to me. And I just put it to the tune of "99 bottles of beer" and voila...a silly ditty.

You know the song, "99 bottles of beer on the wall"? Think about it.

Yeah, know the song... Like I said - not as quick as I once was.

We'll just blame the stressful several months you've just gone through.

if you go basically anywhere in florida that has been hit by a hurricane you will find alot of blue tarps on roofs;hence, blue roofs

blue roof => a blue tarp covering roof damage from prior hurricanes.

Here is what I have to say for 2006. You see them everywhere here in S. Florida and that was only from a CAT 2.

Yeah... a major hurricane would be a catastrophe and trying to evacuate would be a nightmare too.

The house across the street has a blue tarp from the tropical storm force winds we sustained in 2004 and is still not repaired. They should color code the tarps according to the hurricane season. Sattelite images could detect the amount of damage by hurricanes in sections of Florida, and could readily see who needs help.

That is actually a pretty good idea!!! Given the potential for increased activity in the years to come, you may be on to something here...

It'd be more interesting if they were pink.

I wouldn't even want to start counting the blue roofs along the northern gulf coast. By the time I was finished, I think the season would have come and gone.

i rephrase my self...too many blue roofs on my street, too many blue roofs on my street
take one down, repair the roof and we get a hurricane a day later
more blue roofs on my street to fix
