That just sucks. Awesome, though. Even in light of what happened to us... It's still one of mother natures's most awe-inspiring creations. That's why we're all here, I guess.

That gave me chills. Amazing. It's like one minute it's not so healthy, and then BOOM, it's a monster the size of the gulf, almost perfect in appearance. Beautiful, and sad at the same time. Thanks for sharing brunota2003.

For me the most chilling moment of the loop is when the big eye appears.Thanks Bronta for posting it.

What an amazing loop! I've seen it before... it's just incredible! What amazes me most is how the loop shows just how HUGE Katrina was. Look how large it became before Louisiana landfall!

By the way, can someone help me make that loop into an avatar for me? Thanks!

What an amazing loop! Really shows how big she got in comparison to a typical sized hurricane like she was across Florida.

amazing loop, all i could think about while watching the loop was the "forecast turn" as it kept going wsw...a reminder for 2006 to keep checking up on the situation even if your not even close to the forecast path at first....pass christian is way far away from the first forecast :eek:
