Here's an article from the Arizona Republic, 1/28/06 edition... As you can see, the record dry spell continues here.

What's the opposite of "Rain, rain, go away?"
You might want to start singing it if you haven't already.
Today, the Valley enters new territory, the longest dry spell in history at 102 days without rain and counting. advertisement
Don't look for relief anytime soon: There's no rain in the forecast, and the Climate Prediction Center is calling for warm, dry weather in Arizona through April.
The Southwest Coordination Center says an increasing number of zones here are at high danger for fire.
Dry spells here, however, are nothing compared with California's. Death Valley has gone an entire year without rain several times. San Diego has gone for six months. A burg called Ocotillo, west of El Centro on Interstate 8, went rainless for 468 days, from August 1955 to January 1957, the state record.

Yeah Steve, it's REALLY SAD isn't it.........sitting, watching everything we LOVE about Arizona DYING from the lack of water. Drought tolerante plants are even DYING because it's so darn dry. I posted a weather contest in the Contest Forums from KTVK News Channel 3 sponsored by Royal Norman.........pick the date for rain and win a IPOD.......I picked December 2406
