Damn has it really been ten years since the infamous Blizzard of '96. I can recall this storm when I was an teen in High School. We were on the Northern fringe up here, but still got 6 inches of snow in roughly ten hours and wind gusts of over 40 mph.

I'm starting to feel old LOL

I actually don't recall hearing about those floods, but I do recall having close to 3 feet of snow total on the ground at that point after the blizzard and the rest of the storms. Snow banks around the driveway were over 5 feet high. I never saw anything like it and haven't since then. Honestly, I don't remember seeing that much snow on our rooftop too...I honestly thought our roof would cave in. We were getting literally one storm almost every week that year.

I like that link to the Tropical Storm Alberto floods too...I still say Alberto should have been retired.
