Looking at today's visible shots and radar, looks like a plume of moisture is streaming in south of Galveston and Freeport. Looks like a heavy rain event is setting up

Yep, it looks like everything is a go for some decent rainfall totals across Southeast, Texas starting as early as this evening hopefully and lasting into tomorrow afternoon. I would love for a thunderstorm to sit over my house for an hour and drop 2 to 3 inches of rain. That would definately fill up the creek where I do my crappie fishing about a mile from my house. Bring it!!

That morning I started off with two dozen minnows which didn't last long at all. I didn't want to run up to the bait shop so I put on a little feather jig about a foot and half underneath a popping cork. The hit this feather jig harder and quicker than the minnows! Yes, most were caught on jigs.
