Electric bill and hurricane season 2005

#1 Postby Cookiely » Fri Jan 27, 2006 4:53 am

I just received my electric bill with the new fuel charge adjustment. My bill went from $89 dollars to $204 dollars!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you hurricane season 2005 :grrr: Our elderly neighbor next door went from $70 to $169 and uses gas heat which I don't understand. I can only assume she has an electric blower which increased the bill so she gets shafted twice on the higher propane charges and electric. What are we going to do after hurricane season 2006? Will they up the charges again?

I feel you pain. Gas bill went from $25 to $60 and light bill from $70 to $150...I would expect them to go down some or summer is going to be very expensive.

Mine was a little higher than what I am use to for this time of year. I suspect the full increase will come around on my next bill.
