Will winter make a comeback?

#1 Postby boca » Thu Jan 26, 2006 8:52 am

EXTENDED...WILL KEEP DRY FORECAST WITH OFFSHORE FLOW TUE BECOMING
WEAKLY ONSHORE WED. STORM TRACK WELL NORTH OF AREA AND NO COLD
OUTBREAKS OR SIG PRECIPITATION ON THE HORIZON INTO EARLY FEB.

This was out of Melbourne's state disscussion for Thurs Jan 26th. I wondering will that change around the 10th of Feb.

Looking at computer model runs, it appears that the eastern half of the US could see below average temps.

The 7 day Euro is building EXTREME cold into Alaska over the next week. Scroll half way down the page to ECMWF Surface/500MB Forecasts for North America and click on Day 7.
