Snowstorm this Sunday for Minnesota?

#1 Postby WaitingForSiren » Mon Jan 23, 2006 10:27 pm

Looks possible...deepening area of low pressure heading northeast negatively tilted out of Colorado...with just enough cold air on the northern side for snow. So, what do you guys think, snowstorm or no snowstorm?

Yeah thats what i thought yesterday, but todays forecasts show a more southern storm that is weaker, so it looks like another no-show for Minnesota. Ah, so goes our streak without a major snowstorm. Last BIG one was in 1999 or so.

ya minnesota is a whole different enviroment though.... there definition of a blizzard is totally different ya know..... its always arctic in minnesota in the winter.... a minnesota winter is much worse then a new england winter...north east cities boston cinci pitt phily hartford even buffalo a couple times have warmed to the upper 40s and 50s routinely this winter while minnesotans pray the temperature can reach 35..... and even 30 for that matter.. 40 is unheard of in the winter in minnesota for the most part.. and blowing snow and ground blizzards are a nightmare here...
