Increased albedo means that the Earth is reflecting back more sunlight than before. Since the increased albedo hasn't been reflected in a cooling at the Earth's surface it is believed to be due to an increasein high clouds which can reflect sunlight but hold in heat.

Reflectivity of solar luminescence vs. irradiance

1. Luminescence varies with angle
2. Irradiance varies with depth

I think at this stage of the solar cycle luminescence decreases and irradiance strengthens. The increased irradiance helps throw up a blanket of clouds which limits inbound radiation eventually moderating the effect until the sun spot number picks up. It takes some time. Global annual rainfall totals might be larger next year. That could be good and bad, but probably cooler. Also this summer aphelion is considerably farther than in 2005.
