I feel that Florida peninsula will get a June storm this year. Probably a 70mph TS into Tampa and then across the state where it will exit near Cocoa Beach as a 40mph TS. After exiting the east coast, I predict that it slows down and becomes a 75mph Cat. 1. It will then stall for a day before eventually heading north towards NC. With this storm I would predict widespread minor (loose items blown around, a few branches or small trees downed, some signs bent) in Tampa with isolated minor damage across the interior of the state. The place that will get hit the hardest will probably be the east coast when it stalls. I have a feeling that Cocoa Beach, Daytona Beach, Merritt island, etc. will be punded for 1-2 days with 40-70mph wind gusts, heavy rains, and 8-12 foot waves. At the kennedy space center a few gusts may reach 75mph (as I think that the center stalls just 30 miles offshore and since it is a large storm, I think the western eyewall will be touching the coast). It will probably be like an ophelia-like scenario but with a larger storm.
