That disturbance is really trying to get better organized. It's looking better now than it did earlier.

C'mon Alberto. You can do it buddy. After all I did predict a record 30 named storms this year

Seriously I do not think that this bears well for the Caribbean and Florida if disturbances start developing this early in the year  I shutter to think what will happen from Spring onward down there

I see a circulation and possible center. Who agrees?

It also appears to be trying to organize.

I think I see where you are getting your circulation from. IMO, it is only outflow boundaries from collapsing convection. There is no low pressure in the area, so I would not expect anything to develop from this. A wave in January, I dop watch, but don't expect anything from it.

CARIBBEAN SEA...
A SURFACE TROUGH OVER THE WESTERN CARIBBEAN ALONG 85-86W IS
PRODUCING CLUSTERS OF MODERATE/ISOLATED STRONG CONVECTION FROM
16N-21N WEST OF 83W. SIMILAR ACTIVITY IS ALSO AFFECTING PORTIONS
OF THE YUCATAN PENINSULA/CHANNEL...EASTERN HONDURAS AND NE
NICARAGUA.

That surface trough in the western Caribbean sea eventually will be absorbed by the front that is now in the GOM so it's a non event.

THE
SURFACE TROUGH WILL MOVE WESTWARD ACROSS THE YUCATAN PENINSULA
AND WILL BE ABSORBED BY THE COLD FRONT OVER THE GULF DURING THE
NEXT 24-36 HOURS.

The system looks to be pulled northward by the cold front, if anything I hope it gives us some rain down here.
