YES the evenings are beautiful with temperatures in the 70s at night...
that's awesome- I love that part- it's just the daily heat that is surprising

I mean it's January...the normal low is around 50...but it's 72 at night
instead....WOW!!!! I love the tropical climate...but it's really getting hot

If that increases sea surface temperatures than that doesn't bode well for hurricane season...

Thought you meant 10-12C from the title. How far back do your records go?

The records for the official stations go back about 100 years I think-
and they are around 82 to 84 as record highs

for my own station goes back less than 10 years :)
but yesterday's reading beats out all local records
by 10-12 degrees..but then again this is a personal
weather station of mine not the official

But some official newspaper stations recorded 87-92 F yesterday

10 years isn't very far to go back but at 6C higher than previously that is rather warm. I wouldn't tend to compare my measurements to official ones though, unless you are measuring the temperature in a Stevenson's Screen at a height of 1.5m over grass? (Or at least in conditions similar to this)
