Looks like a little band about the move through now. What I'm watching is the moisture streaming in from the Gulf. When that overruns I bet we'll be getting some nice rains.

yeah that band is producing some pretty strong winds as it approaches. I would estimate 35-45mph gusts going on right now at my house.

EDIT: minutes after writting this I would estimate that I just got a gust to near 50mph (completely un-expected). It was strong enough that my whole second story shook a little and you could hear it whiping past the windows and over the roof. Quite scary sounding. My theory is that as this line is weakening...it is also pushing out more wind, and that extra wind along with the 20-30mph gusts it was already producing, is creating localized gusts over 40mph. Just a thoery...but hey it sounds pretty good right? lol. :D

I've had some gusts to about 25 mph but that's it. And I'm dying for some rain, but so far nothing but sprinkles. It's falling apart almost on top of me :-(

Well, this sucks. I didn't get a drop of rain from this line. The rain literally "jumped" over my house. BAH! Sunday better be good!

thats weird. sounds like you guys (Tyler, and jschlitz) didn't get much rain. I got a pretty good soaking here at my house. About 5-10 minutes of nice moderate rain with a good 5 minute period of sprinkles on either side. Also, like I said, I saw some gusts probably to 35+mph. The good news for all you guys that missed today's rain...you will only have to wait about 20 hrs. Tonight (Sat. night) the rain chances return! :P

I haven't checked the guage yet, but I probably got .01" or a trace. The sidewalk barely got damp. I do like our chances over the weekend. It looks like some rain is forming north of the front already, this was a bit unexpected so soon...this may be a good sign for us, I hope.

Yep!! And I think it may be the same for tonight when this PM's forecast comes out - maybe even 100%. Check out that cell south of Matagorda:

We have 80% tonight and 100% tomorrow. First time, in a long time to have such a high possible chance of the wet stuff.

Prob. won't be much, if any, severe weather tomorrow in TX, but it looks like a fun day with a good soaking rain. We need it so badly....I'll enjoy every drop that falls. :D :D :D

Am waking up now to pouring rains, and LOTS of very loud thunder. It is also weird to think that it is in the upper 40s to lower 50s outside, because I usually associate this type of weather with warm, humid days/mornings. I would estimate that I have seen at least .5-1" of rain since the storm started about and hour ago.

What is really strange about this is that what you are getting came through here a while ago, as shown on the radar, and we had nothing but some sprinkles out of it. I can hear the thunder from the storm you are getting now. It is wet out, but not like we had had a downpour and my gauge showed no additional since last night. Guess I bettter go check it while I can.
