Tropical Disturbance Summary For area Equator to 25S, 160E to 120W
issued from RSMC NADI Jan 15/0856 UTC 2006 UTC.

TROPICAL DEPRESSION 07F [1006 HPA] NEAR 11S 179E AT 150600 UTC.
POSITION FAIR BASED ON HR MTSAT EIR IMAGERY WITH ANIMATION AND
PERIPHERAL SURFACE REPORTS. SYSTEM SLOW MOVING. SST AROUND 29C.

SYSTEM REMAINS DISORGANISED AT THIS STAGE. 07F LIES IN A GOOD
DIFFLUENT REGION IN UPPER [250 HPA] RIDGE AXIS. SHEAR REMAINS WEAK
IN THE REGION. NO GLOBAL MODELS HAS YET INITIALSED ON THIS SYSTEM.

POTENTIAL FOR THIS SYSTEM TO DEVELOP INTO A TROPICAL CYCLONE IS LOW
IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

NO OTHER SIGNIFICANT TROPICAL DISTURBANCES ANALYSED OR FORECAST IN
THE AREA.

Holy shoot its active down there... :eek:


Since its moving slowly in is over 29c waters. Theres a chance that this could be the first Monster of the season. The season pacific for number of systems has alot of monsters.

I'm guessing it dissipated, because it's gone from NRL and there hasn't been an update from the Fiji Meteorological Service. No T-numbers, either.

Right now the system doesn't seem to be very organized, and they don't expect much from it! :bday:
