Iran Standoff= U.S sends planes to SW Asia

Not good news as removing those seals means that they can start to enrich uranium something that Iran denies doing. Now this increases the stakes a noch about sanctions at the UN for Iran. Also this increases the talk about a strike against Iran that has been said in recent weeks.

Ok folks the last thread about this Iran theme got into politics and we dont want that kind of debate going on.So let's not stray into a political debate here or I will lock this thread.

This is something that is going to have to be addressed quickly. IRAN cannot have the ability to launch a nuclear attack on Israel...PERIOD. Whatever it takes to remove this threat I am in favor of.

The thing about this news that may affect the population in the US and around the world can be more higher gas prices as today crude oil jumped higher when this news broke.

Buying gas in NC is even more $$$ now since the governor put a tax on it starting this year!

Ironically, Commander-in-Chief on ABC tonight will be about the U.S. being on the brink of Nuclear war with North Korea.

Crazy please tell me you dont disagree with removing Iran's capability of delivering a nuclear attack? Iran is a terrorist country and is bent on destroying Israel. All you have to do is listen to the rhetoric coming out of IRAN in the last few months to understand Iran's hate for Israel. Since Israel is a strong ally of the United States it is a problem that needs to be addressed.

Iran is no more a threat than N.K. Actually, N.K. is more of a threat than Iran. If Israel has a problem with Irans's threat, then let Israeal deal with them. There are some that hate America and do you see Israel coming to our defense. NO. FWB, just remember that the ROMANS got defeated because they were spread to thin and bullied everyone else.

I agree wxcrazy. NK is much more of a threat to us at this moment. They have both nuclear warheads and the missiles needed to launch them at the US west coast. Let Israel deal with Iran, we need to be dealing with NK.

If Israel thinks the reactors will be a problem then they will take them out like they did with Iraq's reactor years ago. The one thing I do admire about the Israelis is that they act on potential threats while we here in America will debate the issue until it is too late......MGC

No offense...There is no way that this thread cannot turn political....

I'd love to jump into the debate, but it's not possible. Still miss the ol PA days...;)

Nothing short of Iran firing a nuke into American city in killing millions. Will half the country to the threat...I don't think America can do anything about Iran. I think the best we can do is shut our borders in hope like heck. In since they went to scream, We should let the EU deal with it since they went to take care of things. Yeah that won't go good.

I would give a link but am pretty sure that's against board ToS (and general policy of the moderators) but you can google the website.

Lets keep in mind that Iran has weaponry at its disposal (unlike Iraq) curtesy of Russia. They could fire missiles at our troops in Irag, invade Iraq (large army),and also destroy their oil, which most of the world depends on. This willnot be very easy.Their nuke facilities are underground and hidden. SOme say troops on the ground will be required
