Sharon Brain Scan Shows Big Improvement

JERUSALEM
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon showed "significant improvement" after five hours of emergency brain surgery Friday, and the pressure inside his skull returned to normal, hospital officials said.
Sharon, 77, remains in serious condition, said Hadassah Hospital director Dr. Shlomo Mor-Yosef. Sharon was returned to intensive care after the surgery and a subsequent brain scan.
Sharon was rushed to the operating room Friday morning after a brain scan detected further bleeding and increasing pressure.
"During surgery, the increased intracranial pressure was released, part of the blood clots that remained after the first operation were drained," he said. "At the end of the operation, there is no active bleeding and the intracranial pressure has returned to normal."
"I can say that in comparison to previous CT scans ... there is a significant improvement in the way the brain exam looks to Hadassah's experts," Mor-Yosef said.
He said the prime minister was in "stable, but serious" condition.
Well some good news here.

From the Iran President story
Sharon is known as the butcher of Beruit. Personally I don't have an emotional stake in it, but because Sharon was a hardliner its hardly out of the ordinary that a radical would say something mean spirited about him.
Words are not a pretext for an invasion or assassination. If you believe in free speach in America, which is a right NOT given by the constitution but affirmed by the constitution, then this man should be able to wish for whatever evil thing he wants. He's clearly offbalance, but I don't think this counts as a causus belli... especially for America.
Ahmadinejad was referring to Sharon, who as defense minister in 1982 directed Israel's ill-fated invasion of Lebanon. An Israeli commission found him indirectly responsible for a massacre of Palestinians in the Sabra and Chatilla refugee camps by Christian Phalangist soldiers.

Ariel Sharon is Stable but in Serious Condition
I wish he would just leave us in peace instead of trying to keep him alive. When Sharon wakes up he'll have so many problems with him and he wont be the same as he was. God Bless Ariel Sharon. Your always in our prayers.

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - One of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's brain surgeons said on Saturday that there was a "very high" chance he would survive a massive brain hemorrhage that he suffered on Wednesday, Channel 2 Television reported.
The station quoted Dr. Jose Cohen of Hadassah hospital in Jerusalem as saying, after being asked what Sharon's chance of survival was: "I think it is very high now. I am pretty optimistic about it. We are praying there won't be complications, like catching an infection."
Let's see if this good news continues in the next few days and Sharon gets out of the coma the doctors put him to.
