I was honestly wondering who he was and how he became associated with the new years festivities.

He has hosted American Bandstand, the game show $25,000 Pyramid, etc. :)

And has hosted New Year's Rockin' Eve since 1972! :)

Okay Kevin, my apologies.

Eric's correct on his short bio but what Dick Clark was also known for was his youthful appearance. He just never seemed to age and looked great for his age. I have no idea if he had plastic surgery but he truly aged very well.

yea i was watching him the other night..........he sounded bad :cry: ........but hes a fighter so im glad he was able to host...........him without dropping the ball in times square is like not having Bob Barker host the price is right...........

I wonder when Bob goes will the price is right still be a game show anymore????????? :(
