Near misses for east coast for first week of 2006

#1 Postby pawxguy » Sat Dec 31, 2005 11:53 pm

Hi all,
Perhaps we may be talking about hits instead of misses. According to GFS, Tuesday am features a system providing .25"+ QPF from tri state PA/NY/NJ area on east and temps supporting snow. Same for Thursday am.

Will one of these entities be more of a surprise? Or will they miss?

Average to below avg through mid Jan for east coast. FL may even shiver with a 1020+ high moving on down

The latter Friday/Saturday storm could produce moderate snow fall amounts from the Mid-Atlantic to New England.

The 06/12 UT GFS shows such a storm as does the 12 UT NOGAPS.
