When will Alberto Form?

#1 Postby cycloneye » Fri Dec 30, 2005 12:50 pm

Well Zeta formed just hours away from the start of 2006.A little more time this system would haved been named Alberto.Since we are seeing activity beyond the official 6 month period the question is when will Alberto form?

I say by early June.

This is nothing scientific only for some fun.

my birthday is January 31st so that would be kinda cool to see him form then lol

besides the odds of a threat to the U.S at that point are slim

it would be a Zeta like thing

I think we'll get a break until early July. Every other year in recent times has started late: July for 1998, August for 2000, July for 2002, and August for 2004 (Alex did not reach TS status till Aug. ). I think this will keep up, then it will be madness till the end.

Really, an all year season would be amazing! I can see the headlines now:

(June 3rd) - Tropical Storm Isaac Forms - First Storm South of 20N This Year

(I voted May, for the record.)

What happens if Zeta survives to see New Years Day? Does he become become the first 2006 storm in addition to the last 2005 storm?

It will continue to be named Zeta even if it continues into 2006.If this system would haved formed on January 1 the name would haved been Alberto.
