THIS IS JUST PLAIN SICK. An innocent 2 month old baby! I heard this on the radio this morning on my way into work and it almost made me physically sick. How can someone do this? What would possess someone to do this? I just don't understand and it made me very very very very very mad. And the mother needs to be locked up as well. As for the man....

Man Arrested for Raping Two-Month-Old

A St. Landry Parish man could be put to death if he's found guilty of raping a two-month-old baby. The suspect reportedly confessed to the crime.

26-year-old Frederick Bias, Jr. was arrested and booked into the St. Landry Parish jail late Tuesday night. Bias is accused of raping a two-month-old baby.

The sheriff's department's investigation into this crime began Christmas Day.

The mother witnessed the alleged crime and after talking with family members, decided to bring the two-month-old to an Opelousas emergency room.

Chief Deputy Laura Balthazar says after detectives arrived, it was assertained that Bias molested the young child.

Balthazar says two days later, Bias was arrested at his Opelousas home.

She says after detectives brought him in and interrogated him, he confessed.

Balthazar would not say what connection Bias has to the child. Meanwhile, the two-month-old girl remains in her mother's care.

Balthazar says the child is in the mother's custody. She says the sheriff's department has referred the incident to child protection.

Bias is being held at the St. Landry Parish jail without bond.

According to St. Landry Parish district attorney Earl Taylor, anyone found guilty of committing sexual crimes on a child under the age of 12 will spend the rest of his or her life in prison.

That is the minimum sentence Bias faces.

If the district attorney recommends, and the jury agrees, Bias could be put to death.

No arraignment date has been set.

I agree with what everyone else said. What a pathetic excuse for a human being! I can't believe the baby is still with that mother either. She witnessed it? Why wasn't she beating the crap out of him or dying trying? This was her baby girl! Ugh!
