This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Going out on a limb, I think most of the US landfalls will occur between Texas and Maine. ;)

I think the Canadian Maritimes will get it good in 2006.

Mid-Atlantic. A hurricane will hit the Outer Banks, and move parallel to the coastline, retaining Category 2 force winds around New Jersey.

Note: The preceding comment does not have any grain of truth in it. It is the thoughts of a hurricane fan that should not be taken seriously. If you're still reading this, merry Christmas.

Better get new batteries for the wind meter then

its hard to tell I'd have to see if La Nina pops out and what the steering currents look like in about late may

My guess is three major hurricanes will hit the gulf region in 2006. I'm not sure what this is based on but I've read several articles which predicted this for next year and it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

I'd say east coast from Charleston on up, still thinking a good CV year.

--->Interesting to note that the Farmer's Almanac only mentions one TC threat, and that is Sep. 5-9 for the Texas coast.
