I found this on a site about Hurricane Rita. Pretty neat loop, although so freaky watching it now. I was in Jasper, evacuated, when the loop ends watching them board up the motel windows. Just a weird, kinda surreal feeling.

Anyway...

This was submitted to me by a visitor named Denny...

Denny writes: "I have put together a rather large animation using infrared satellite images taken from NOAA's database to show the buildup& movement of Rita. The animation starts Monday morning and ends approx 2PM Central on thursday afternoon. It may take some time to load.

Personally, I had no problems loading it...Here is the link to the animation:

BY THE WAY, NOT RECOMMENDABLE FOR DIAL-UP USERS, EVEN WITH DSL IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO DOWNLOAD!
