Very sad news today

We were going to get a yorkie puppy from this lady that lives about 5 miles away from us. Our yorkie of 13 and half years died in June from kidney failure. And we started around August looking for another yorkie. Living in a small town, our choices were very limited. But, from word of mouth, we found this lady. My dad worked with her husband for years and years. She had 2 litters due Dec 6th and 9th. After nearly 2 weeks without getting a phone call back about the puppies, my dad decided to call her. None of the puppies made it from either litter. I am devasted and I am sure this lady is too. Our puppy was going to be ready by Valentines Day. We have found another lady in Thibodaux (also 5 miles away) whose yorkie is due the last week of December. 4 puppies are expected. But, my mom only wants a female. And 1 female is already promised to her daughter. And 1 puppy is promised to the lady who provided the stud. She will probably pick a female as well. So, we are basically 3rd in line. She would have to produce 3 females in order for us to have one. And I am also scared to death that these puppies may not make it either. The mom is very tiny. Only 3.5 pounds. We did not breed our yorkie Lacey because she was around the same size. And we did not feel it was safe.

Sorry to hear the pups didn't make it. You have to remeber everything happens for a reason. Just remeber when you finally do get you a new little girl, you would not have her if this didn't happen. There is a puppy out there for you, just a matter of time before you find her. Keep on looking till you find her. Best wishes.
