At the PD, where else? Stupid Criminals don't take holidays, if nothing ELSE, they're at their BUSIEST :grr: Christmas Eve working, Christmas day off (if nothing happens, but with the holidays come domestic violence GALORE!) then it's back to work on Monday.......but ya know what? I "LOVE" it....I wouldn't trade THIS job for the WORLD even though crime knows no holidays or limits!

Outside of going to Roanoke Rapids, NC this Friday 12/23 for a gift exchange and lunch with my sister, brother-in-law and their 2 kids...my folks and I will be home and will have another gift exchange between the 3 of us after a Christmas Eve service at church. And then a Christmas Day morning service on Sunday.

Will be off of work on Dec 23, then I am working Christmas Eve all day until around 6pm... then open gifts at home on christmas morning...then get ready to head up to my grandma's house in the afternoon for Christmas dinner... probably spend the night there and come back home on Monday afternoon...then back to work Tuesday morning.

I will be here on Friday, if I have finished buying all my gifts. (I know... it's sad and pathetic, but hey I am a guy. What do you expect?)

Christmas Eve we will have snacks at my grandparents with my parents, sisters, and I. We will then open gifts.

Christmas morning we will open gifts at mom's and then head to the grandparent's for a huge Christmas dinner. Then, on Christmas night my parents and sisters will be going to Lawrence, KS. My step-dad has to work the day after in Kansas City and so my mom and sisters will be going up with him to stay with his parents. I am sure they will also head out to the Olathe mall to catch all the after Christmas bargains! I, on the other hand, will be staying in town because I have to dogsit.

Christmas Eve cooking, father in law coming over. Then Christmas eve night visiting some friends houses. Then going to midnight mass. Christmas day staying home packing and cleaning and taking tree down. We leave Monday to go to Bahamas for a week with some friends of ours. Can't wait to go.

:uarrow: Great timing for a vacation to the bahamas sweetpea. After all the crazyiness it will be great I am sure.

I am going to Moms and then to In laws on Christmas Eve, will open a few presents there. Christmas morning here with the kids to see what Santa brought, my parents come over to watch. And then Lunch at in-laws, and finally a prime rib dinner at my moms. I will be home the rest of the week with my kids, trying to get the Christmas gift mess all put away, and then down with the decorating! :D :D

Christmas eve we will be having family over for our Christmas dinner(long explanation needed). My immediate family and SO's will have our gift opening then as well as later when the rest of the family comes for dinner our ornament exchange. Then off to the 11pm Chrismas eve service at the church. Christmas day we will attend church in the morning and then probably come home and veg. We are melding 5-6 families together(all related in some form or fashion)and Christmas eve ended up being the best time for all concerned. Normally we do everything on Christmas day. The day after Christmas is my son's 23rd birthday and we will celebrate that in some fashion also.

I have several family members in the immediate area, and every year my sister and I would trade off the Christmas Day festivities. Last year I had 25 people in my house and it was just too much to handle - being sick to boot. The noise level was unbelievable and with the kids all running wild nobody could even speak. So, this year Dave and I have decided to see family on different days and spread it out instead of having the annual deluge. My sister is NOT happy about it and is sulking terribly. The way I see it is that taking a year (or two?!) off will make a large gathering enjoyable when we do manage it again.

Since feasting is at the root of our celebration, and I can't eat solids, I just can't face it this year. So, we're having our own quiet Christmas with a couple of "orphaned" friends over in the afternoon. A dear friend of ours is alone this year and will be spending Christmas Eve here as well. She's divorced and her 13 year old son is going on a skiing trip with his grandparents. Clarissa has been such a wonderful friend to us over the years there is no way we're letting her stay home alone. We're going to try to browbeat Dave into going to Christmas Eve services with us. Cross your fingers! It will be a different year than usual and both Dave and I are looking forward to the holidays for a change.
