Opening day of the film was not spectacular in terms of the money grossed as it was short of the record that Spiderman has around $40 millon on opening day.But it got more $9.7 Millon than The Chronicles of Narnia $3.5 Millon on wednesday.

Well I saw it today and the most I liked was the special effects which were A+.The worse of the film is that it's too long a little over 3 hours. The first part of the movie is the most boring one.The best part is when King Kong arrives in New York.I wont say anymore as I know some of you will go and see it in the comming days. This is of course my opinion and it not has to be the same as yours as people see the movies in different ways.

1. “King Kong,” $50.15 million.
2. “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” $31.2 million.
3. “The Family Stone,” $12.7 million.
4. “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” $5.9 million.
5. “Syriana,” $5.5 million.
6. “Walk the Line,” $3.6 million.
7. “Yours, Mine & Ours,” $3.4 million.
8. “Brokeback Mountain,” $2.4 million.
9. “Just Friends,” $1.95 million.
10. “Aeon Flux,” $1.7 million.
King Kong did not break any records of more money grossed in the first weekend in other words the expectations for a blockbuster $$$ film are not there.I thought it was going to get more $$$ but maybe the talk of it to be very long 3 hours+ and no fight with Godzilla made some people not to go this weekend. However I found the film a good to see especially with the visual special effects that are awesome.

I saw that movie last night. It ran off topic way to much! I completely forgot about Kong, it was all about Dinosaurs and wierd bug fights. The very end was good and King Kongish, but the whole movie leading up to the New York City scene was not worth it! I give the movie 6/10 stars,
I spent more time watching the exit than I did the movie.
