Is there an iPod left in Houston?

Dave's always difficult to buy gifts for, but I thought I really had a brainstorm for his birthday (12/21) and Christmas. I'm trying to get him the iPod for the birthday gift, and the accompanying Bose docking system for Christmas. Great idea, but no go. I can't find an iPod to save my life! Why is everyone out of stock and is it like that around the rest of the country? GGGGRRRRRR!!!!!

Depending on the model it's pretty tight here in Tampa. The Nano and Video models are hot. You may want to try the Apple store and buy direct.

We order our Apple products online. You could try that Jen. Occasionally we'll pick up a CD Rom game in the actual store but hubby does our mac shopping, at least 75% online.

We got our iPod last weekend at the Apple store about 5 miles from the house and there hasnt been a day that goes by since we got it, that I havent used it. By the looks of it, they have a ton of them left there too.

Also circuitcity.com I bought my kids an ipod nano from there. I ordered it on Oct. 31st though! I would check there and apple. The neat thing about apple is that they'll engrave on it for you...i wish i had known that.

My mom went out hunting one for my brother the other day. None left in the tri- state area including many Pittsburgh locations. She got a call from a local Circuit City and they had one left. So she flew out of work and down to the store to get it. CRAZY!!

Hey, thanks Yankeegirl! I tried that one last week and they said all their stores were wiped out. I'll check it out today, and failing that, thanks to everyone else for the online links. Maybe I'll pull this one out of the fire yet!
