1 HOUR AND 16 MINUTES...

#1 Postby fasterdisaster » Wed Nov 30, 2005 5:51 pm

The last hour of hurricane season has befallen us. 2005 is truly the worst season of all time.

Part of me will kick and smash this season...but part of me will miss it. It has been a lot of fun and a lot of pain this season. I got moderate damage from Katrina and Wilma. But still...it was fun and exciting too. Oh yeah, one more thing----

The season officially ends November 30 even though I have no doubt that we will indeed go into overtime

The phrase "the end of the hurricane season has come" just goes in one ear and comes out the other.

Well, the season is officially over, but I'm not counting down the end of the 2005 hurricane season until January 1, 2006, at 00:00 GMT. This is the 2005, not any other season, remember?

OK, it took me a second to figure out what that meant.

I get it now. Still the shortest day of the year isn't for 3 weeks. (How long are the days right now in England anyway?)

24hours......

No I know what you mean, currently there is about 8hrs 15 min of daylight every day but this is decresing by two minutes a day. It is dark here by 4pm at this time of year.

Logically, the winter solstice should be in the middle of winter, not the first day of winter. I tend to think of it more monthly though (winter is Dec/Jan/Feb, spring is Mar/Apr/May, etc.).
