I am wondering if maybe after this season we are going to have to go back and rethink all of our science when it comes to hurricanes. Clearly we are sailing into uncharted waters and just maybe what we thought never possible before we may start to see as the norm. such as active Novembers muliple cat 5 in a season and so on! I don't think our current understanding of weather is really as good as what it has been. and if you ask me Bush cutting funding to FEMA for programs to prepair for storms was the stupidest thing he could have ever done!

I voted yes. Don't focus on water temperatures of 26/27C or more. This type of storm with extratropical origin can definitly develop over 22 to 25 C water because of slightly colder upper air.

Well, it's looking like I was probably wrong to vote "no".

This season continues to amaze.

Well the chance is looking almost 80/20 that this thing will form into a hurricane but we'll wait and see.
