Is Gamma the last one in the 2005 season?

#1 Postby cycloneye » Sat Nov 19, 2005 6:49 am

I say yes it's over for the hyperactive 2005 season. However I can't discount a subtropical one forming before the year is out but overall the door closes after Gamma.

I think Mother Nature may have one more trick up her sleeve before the end of the year, if not the end of the season. I wouldn't expect anything of significance but another named storm is not beyond the realm of possibilty.

Have you realized people always keep saying that Mother Nature may have one more trick up her sleeve and their right. Wilma, Alpha, and Beta were perfect examples

I voted yes, but it's about 50/50 that we see a subtropical bit in dec.

I agree, Luis. Maybe something subtropical forms out in the Atlantic, but this is it for the Caribbean and for any true tropical systems in the basin.

What a year, though!

I think 1 more system would come after Gamma. I could be wrong, but I hate being right.
