I'm sorry, but any look at the shear map says no way this is a hurricane (and probably not purely tropical) when it gets to FL. I see Damar comparing this to Wilma. There are big differences here. First, Wilma offset the shear because of her fast movement. Gamma won't be moving nearly as fast so it can't offset the shear as well. and Second, the shear is MUCH higher than ever with Wilma's situation.

Comparing this to Wilma other than in track is absolutely ludicrous.

Do some of you people even read the posts? Did I ever say Wilma would slam into Florida as a Cat 2. No, I did not. I simply meant the conditions were becoming awfully familiar. Maybe you should ask what is meant if you don't fully understand!

There is a possibility it might move fast enough and strengthen all the way to landfall. I am not sayin this will happen, but with Hurricane season 2005, ya never know. IMO this could be a weak CAT 1 at landfall.

I guess not..........

umm....why in the heck would this threat need to be closed, check your information, it's very obvious that this is a growing threat to Florida, i'm sorry but your statement was one of the most well...dumb i've heard on this board for a long time.

This IS a growing threat to South Florida, no matter what intensity it makes landfall or passes us at, will determine the amount of rainfall that will affect an already blue-tarped area...leaking roofs mean anything to you? Plus all the debris all over South Florida still, and just barely there power lines and power networks, this could really hamper repair efforts. So yea, this IS a growing concern for South Florida...

Well, excuse my dumbness. I thought all ideas were welcome on this board. Again, this was way earlier when you were, that's right in high school. Pay attention. And yes they do mean something to me, I have one at home as well as work, and a damaged car,and hundreds of dollars in food lost...shall I go on?

*DING*

Before the blaming on everyone begins, may I kindly ask for everyone to be slightly more on-topic?
