Gamma: Yet Another Possible 2005 Record...

#1 Postby MiamiensisWx » Fri Nov 18, 2005 4:55 pm

I've just noticed this... if Gamma makes landfall in Florida, it will be the first time a storm with a name from the Greek alphabet has made landfall in the U.S.

Just when you thought the record-breaking was over... just incredible.

It will be the first time that a tropical system makes landfall in the US in the month of November since Gordon in 1994, which precisely made landfall in Florida.

As much as my jaw would drop at a winter 'cane, I really don't want to see one.

While there are many WORLDWIDE tropical cyclone records left intact, very many ATLANTIC tropical records have been shattered by 2005.
