How strong will Gamma get?

#1 Postby HURAKAN » Fri Nov 18, 2005 5:58 pm

Now that we have our 24th tropical storm of the season, and it's in its developing stages, we would like to know, according to the opinion of the citizens of the nation of Storm2k, how strong will Gamma get. Right now the system has winds around 45 mph and forecasted to get to 65 mph, that's the NHC forecast. Let see what you have to say.

I think if it gets tonight and tomorrow its act together, it may pull a strong tropical storm, 65 mph. But it has a great chance of staying weak.

OPINIONS ARE ALWAYS WELCOMED.

THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Even if the system passes through the Florida strait, I think just the interaction between the cold front and the tropical system should provide a lot of rain for South Florida.

For now, I think it will make a peak intensity of 60KT (70MPH) before starting to possibly weaken.

I think it will squeak up to hurricane force if only because of the rapid pick up in forward motion will put the eastern semicircle of the system into the hurricane force area. If this were a slow mover, I would put it no higher than 60 - 65mph.

I said 60-69, but I wouldn't be surprised to see even a min Cat 1 come out of this.

Agree Brent...We both said this for the past 3 days....Prediction Stands 100 miles south of FL..With little to no effect on the penninsula..
