SHOWER ACTIVITY HAS INCREASED THIS MORNING IN ASSOCIATED WITH A
NON-TROPICAL AREA OF LOW PRESSURE CENTERED ABOUT 1000 MILES
NORTHEAST OF THE LEEWARD ISLANDS. ADDITIONAL SLOW DEVELOPMENT OF
THIS SYSTEM IS POSSIBLE OVER THE NEXT DAY OR SO.

11:30 AM TWO

Here we go with another area to watch and see if a subtropical system comes out of this.

Since the beginning of the week, computer models have been indicating the possible formation of a low pressure center in the central atlantic where an old cold front was decaying into a trough of low pressure. Let see what happens.

It is an interesting system, but is clearly extratropical, but could become subtropical

Here is the latest Tropical Weather Outlook, including information on this system...

000
ABNT20 KNHC 171616
TWOAT
TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
1130 AM EST THU NOV 17 2005

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

CLOUDINESS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTEND FROM NICARAGUA AND THE ADJACENT
WATERS OF THE SOUTHWESTERN CARIBBEAN SEA NORTHWARD ACROSS HONDURAS
INTO THE NORTHWESTERN CARIBBEAN SEA. THIS ACTIVITY IS ASSOCIATED
WITH A BROAD LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM CENTERED JUST EAST OF THE COAST OF
NICARAGUA...AND THE REMNANTS OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION TWENTY-SEVEN
JUST OFF THE COAST OF NORTHEASTERN HONDURAS. WHILE DEVELOPMENT IS
LIKELY TO BE SLOW DUE TO THE PROXIMITY TO LAND... THERE IS SOME
POTENTIAL FOR A TROPICAL DEPRESSION TO DEVELOP DURING THE NEXT DAY
OR SO. REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT A TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMS IN
THIS AREA...LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL IS LIKELY OVER PORTIONS OF
CENTRAL AMERICA...PARTICULARLY OVER NICARAGUA AND HONDURAS...
DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. THESE RAINS COULD PRODUCE
LIFE-THREATENING FLASH FLOODS AND MUD SLIDES. AN AIR FORCE RESERVE
HURRICANE HUNTER AIRCRAFT IS CURRENTLY ENROUTE TO INVESTIGATE THE
SYSTEM.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
FRIDAY.

FORECASTER BEVEN

[b]

A NON-TROPICAL AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IS CENTERED ABOUT 875 MILES
NORTHEAST OF THE LEEWARD ISLANDS AND IS PRODUCING SOME WINDS TO NEAR
GALE FORCE. ADDITIONAL SLOW DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM IS POSSIBLE
AS IT MOVES SLOWLY WESTWARD DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.
