This is in America. I can not believe it. Who would really rent their own flesh and blood to a stranger? I still can not believe this. Rent for what purpose? There seems no other reason to rent a child unless it was for bad intentions. Am I right here? What other reasons besides bad ones, would you rent a child for?

A date for the prom?? These children look too young for a HS prom so I have no idea what the purpose would be.

IF (and I emphasize IF) it is real, it is a ploy by child predators to recruit young kids (with the aid of their parents). The website is hosted through GoDaddy.com, so it isn't a "certified" agency by any means.
I doubt that the 10 boys on the rentmyson site are actually "rentable." Probably just individual, random pics of kids not even associated with the "company" anymore. Do you really think a supposedly nationwide company would only have 10 boys available to rent for proms, parties, etc? If there are boys lined up for people to rent, there are more than 10 and they are not going to have their pictures on the web. Child exploitation is as illegal and immoral as it gets and they're sure as heck not going to put any more evidence out there against them than they have to.
(I'm not going to the rentmydaughter site again while here at work. On my first click, it looked bad enough with just the belly shot. I don't want to search through it any further while at the office. )
If I get a chance, I'll check at PJ.com and see if they know anything about it.
