Check out the trailer I did for the documentary and photo book I'm doing about the katrina relief in New Orleans.

I chose Hendrix because of the beat structure and the surreal nature of the song and it's referrences to Voodoo, which is a aprt of the New Orleans mystique.

The full documentary will have some other tunes of varying mood.

Pick a song or songs that deeply moved you when saw the destruction and flooding of NOLA as well as as the rest of the season. To me the flooding of NOLA was the pinnacle of this season.

I too am working on a tribute slide show. I was deeply moved by Katirna's wrath and directly effected by Rita during the mass evacuation here in our area.

This season has been emotionally moving and for me making a tribute slide show is a healing experience. I will never forget packing my house and thinking nothing will be left. For many of us it was reality.

The only two that I could think of is "Purple Rain by Prince (no pun intended) and "There's Always Tomorrow' By Gloria Estafan.

I am working on also with Flash Macromedia tribute. I am finishes with Intro and half finished with Katrina section to be followed by a Rita/Wilma section. So far so good. Just tedious doing frame by frame animation and keeping flow of music equivalent to the fading in and out of images.
