Now that they have found the problem concerning the mesosphere, how are they going to stop this chain of events? FEMA was ordered to find out why and to find a way to stop these catastrophe's. How do you think the movie will stop this madness? I say turn off all the power in the world for 24 hours. What is your answer? Remember now this is fiction so let your imaginations soar.

LOL Linda
Well i guess we will have to see how the conclusion is next Sunday
some of us Weather Buffs, who pay attention to every minute detail of everything, may not like it that much, but to the average American, it may have been very good...remember Americans like "Disaster" movies...and i think this got very high ratings last year..it must have or they wouldn't have done a seqeul for it....remember folks, its all about Ratings
I try not to pay attention to that Ratings stuff though....i watch something because i want to...because i like it...for instance a few weeks ago, i went to see Saw 2, the Horror movie...the Critics Trashed it, but it made tons of money and i think there will be a third one....so just because the Critics don't like something doesn't always mean it will be a Dud
On the other hand, the movie i seen on Friday..Jarhead..about the Dude that went to Irag for the first Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm)....the Critics trashed that and it WAS terrible lol
I was extremely dissapointed......i thought there would be more fighting/action scenes, but there wasn't
I know i am getting a little off topic here, but just trying to show that just because a small group of ppl may not like something, doesn't mean the masses will reject it as well
I guess we'll find out soon how it did in the ratings...im sure if it did well, there will be a Category 8: End Of The World...next year :) Just my opinion

A. It didn't compete against it
B. The West Wing isn't what it once was. Last night's ratings were a lot better than it had been doing
C. It got beat NBC, which Category 6 beat last year

I don't know where Drudge got his numbers, but here's the Fast Nationals from Zap2it. It didn't "bomb" but it also wasn't a big hit. It did better than CBS normally does though.

ABC's "Desperate Housewives" delivered a 15.5/22 for the 9 p.m. hour. The first hour of CBS' "Category 7" did a 9.7/14. The beginning of NBC's two-hour "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" had an 8.4/12, better than FOX's "Family Guy" and "American Dad," though that duo again topped NBC in the key demographic. The WB's "Supernatural" wasn't really in the hunt.

"Grey's Anatomy" helped ABC close on top with a 12.6/20. NBC's "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" improved to a 10.2/16 in its final hour. CBS' second hour of "Category 7" lost some viewers and finished third.

Everything was up last night...

Mediaweek has better numbers for the entire weekend. There no viewer numbers for CBS because they go to a late start with their programming. But it looks like they got somewhere between 13 to 15 million viewers for Cat 7. No blockbuster, but that's actually pretty for a tv movie of the week.

But as you noted Brent there was a drop off at the end so it may not do so well on with Part 2.

Heh, this movie actually ripped off some photography from a chaser I know up in Blair, Nebraska. Something tells me he just hit litigous pay-dirt:

(Someone nudged me that not everyone knows who this "guy" is, so, if you don't, you can see his photography at http://www.extremeinstability.com. To be clear, the top photo is obviously his photo, not mine. If I could take photos like that, I'd probably never stop pressing the shutter long enough to eat. ;))
