Christmas Cheer

#1 Postby Lindaloo » Sun Nov 06, 2005 5:55 pm

After everything we have all been through this hurricane season, I can't wait until the holiday season arrives. I am hoping and praying that the Christmas spirit will be warm and cozy this year. We need it!

We most certainly do, Linda. I hope we all have a joyful and peaceful Christmas!

I've always wanted to do a tree in a snowman theme - I think I just might do it this year :D

Of course, it would be many a Canadian dream to be 80F on Christmas Day...it just won't happen in this lifetime in Canada.

Maybe Christmas will help you all to get back in that season
of some kind of "normalcy", as, that has NOT been the case,
this late summer and autumn!

Heck, I'm rootin' for 'ya!

Humbug.

"What is Christmas but a time for picking a man's pocket every twenty-fifth of December? A time for finding yourself a year older, but not an hour richer? You keep Christmas in your way, and let me keep it in mine.

"But, Uncle, you don't keep it...

"Then, let me leave it alone! Every fool with 'Merry Christmas' on his lips should be boiled in a Christmas pudding, and a stake of holly driven through his heart! GOOD DAY!"
-Charles Dickens, "A Christmas Carol", from The Pickwick Papers

No, I don't really feel like that, but..I HAD to tuck this in here.
