I noticed the same thing.

Our family used to celebrate Thanksgiving by decorating for Christmas  - after dinner, we had to go to my dad's store and get all of the Christmas items for sale out and deccorate the store itself. Small wonder that I don't really get into decorating as an adult! I do decorate for Christmas (because I have kids) but if it was just me in the house I probably wouldn't - I am all decorated out from my childhood years.

My Christmas tree goes up just 2 weeks before Christmas. I do that on purposely to keep the grandkid from destroying everything before Christmas gets here. With him living with me I am not in a Christmas mood and doubt if I get in one before then. The stress level in this house is enough to make me want to leave before I hurt him sometimes.

Daylily, if I had a little "young'un" in the house, I'd
totally re-think my decorating ideas, for sure! They
want to touch everything, and, grab everything, and, Oh, my!
As adults, we feel that everything has a certain place, and,
should look a certain way. But, no - little ones have their
OWN ideas about decorating! They can totally rearrange
everything that you put you heart into, in a matter of
seconds! I try to remember being a kid, but, I can't, for the
life of me...

Breeze,
This little one is a very destructive 5 year who knows better. He has destroyed 2 DVD players his mother left down where he could reach them. When I have to take him with me when his mother is at work, I am very strict with him, I do not reward his bad behavior like his mother does.In a few months , I will know whether or not we will even have a place to live in. My husband job is closing this month and he will no longer have a job. We may wind up moving into an apartment, and if we do, the daughter and grandson are on their own to find a place.I have had them here for 3 years now and I am fed up with all the drama and stress they give me.
