Normally I wouldn't carve until Sunday. But I am going home to New Orleans for the week-end and won't be back up here until Halloween. Soooo, I'm carving tonight.

I was going to try to post a pic of last years pumpkins, but it was too big and I don't have time to fool with it right now. Maybe later.

White pumpkins are much better eating than the big old orange ones. I grew them one year and they are not stringy at all like most pumpkins.

The meat is more like a squash and not as watery or stringy as pumpkin. I didn't make bread, but the pie was excellent!! I would think it would be good.

Ding! Ding! Ding! And we have a winner folks....Karan steps up to the plate, pumpkin carving knife in hand......

I would attempt this design but my family would protest. No offense S2K, my Internet beloved home, but they don't get why I love it here so much! As if in my mind you're a tangible hangout.....well, you are! I'm picturing you all right now.....

You go Karan! Steal some ideas from the merch page!!!

Why yes I have heard of them, they are in my vegi seed and plant magizines. I haven't grew them or seen them for sale as of yet. But I have heard of them. I bet if I were to go out more toward the counrty where they farm they are probably at the vegi stands around there, just haven't been out to get my pumkin from on of those stands since my twins were 2. That is where we used to go. or to a pumpkin patch in town when they got older. This year it was albertsons, the first year I bought a pumpkin from the grocery and not took pictures of the girls in the patch. Kinda sad. I would love to try a white pumpkin. If I were to see one I would buy it for sure.

You all know there are free patterns for carving pumpkins on the net. Don't have the exact site now but "googled" them up last year. Was able to then size one to fit my pumpkin on the 'puter.

I have seen white pumpkins before. It once snowed on our Halloween.

I understand there is a school district in Florida that is banning the colors red and green for decorations around the holidays.

And Christmas trees will soon need to become "Friendship" trees.

Imagine this photo of my granddaughters and their mommy if the pumpkins were white!!

No thanks...not for this grandpa!
